Can anyone point me to a page that explains how the links list below each google result are made.

If you don't know what I mean see the attached image.

Google does this.. you can't request it or create it.

Google does this.. you can't request it or create it.Maybe so but there is something feature of your site that Google is using, maybe a sitemap or similar.

They're called 'sitelinks'

"We only show sitelinks for results when we think they'll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn't allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don't think that the sitelinks for your site are relevant for the user's query, we won't show them.

At the moment, sitelinks are completely automated. We're always working to improve our sitelinks algorithms, and we may incorporate webmaster input in the future."

I do have a generic sitemap, nothing special.What's the URL of the sitemap?

the sitemap has nothing to do with it - but maybe you want to look at it anyway.

I assume that a lot of people use an online tool like http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ (I do)
