Hi guys,

My boss who is in her early 60's asked me to redesign the company website. We are a small company of about 20ish people.

Here is the current website http://www.estartechnologies.com/index.html and here is the site I designed for us http://www.estartech.net/EST/index.shtml . I think the colors might be a little too strong.

The more feedback the better so that I can learn from my mistakes.

Thanks in advance.

Gosh I kind of like them both although that second one is a bit more 'current' what with simpler being the new 'it' to strive for.
Too bad that FLASH-thing takes up so much real-estate. It eats-up about one-third the top of the page and that is waste, causing me to have to scroll down. Still, scrolling down is better than horiz.-scrolling, which is universally despised.
Header Text (is it "text" or is it "graphics"?) look a little 'pixely' around the edges, and harsh. Would be nicer if you could get this in vector graphics (if it is image-based). Seems as if the background pulls the eye off of the content... could that be toned-down too?

Overall though, -good job!

Hi WebJoel,

Thanks for the reply. The header text is a graphic that I did in Firefox; should I use Illustrator instead? I am going to remove the Flash and probably make it half the size at most. Well my boss didn't like the website I designed, said there wasn't enough pop to it, she said she really likes the IBM website. So I kinda got the hint, that she wants the website to look more like that. Well back to the drawing board. Thank you for the reply though.
