Calculate Time Online

Hi,

I'm not to sure how I'd go about doing this.

Here the scenario -

I have a forum that I've created, and I'd like to add a bit to it, to show the total amount of time spent online for each user.

I know I'll need to create a new field in the database table.. But after that, I'm a bit stuck.

Any pointers?

I'd imagine, that this would be done by creating some sort of time field in a database, that is added to with every click a user makes on a page, ie, the start time they enter, then the close time, and them taken from each other?
