hello, im new with background images coordinating with your contents and stuff, and i would like to ask for some help on, how to line my stuff up with this image i have and how to make it not repeat...

oh and BTW! i know it's a mess right now, but im really looking for how to keep my image CENTERED ON THE PAGE And my content to go into the first grey boxes and nav in the 2nd
tell me if you need the code

i got the image to be centerd!!! i did the trial and error and figured it out!! now i need to get the content and nav into the proper light gray boxes

Remove the "fixed" from the body background.
Why have you pursued a totally different strategy for positioning the left and right content?

ummm, idk but im new with this stuff, like i'm 15 years old with no classes or anything just tutorials... i been fixing alot of errors i been catchign by using the validator and w3c school thing

You need to rethink your HTML to express the content correctly. What you've got there is a header, a main section with two side-by-side content areas and a footer. Think about it that way rather than thinking about an image with text floated over it.

yeah i stole the code from a blank css template...and i just edited it a bit...idk nevermind i'll get it myself some how
