I have the same code (form code) tested and Mozilla has different view for fields.

What are rules in Mozilla that field is coloured.

Is this valid for e-mail field or phone field or there is not rule.

In IE works always white field. See sample in Mozilla. Can be avoided this colour ?

I had the same problem. (can't remember if it was IE or Firefox)
But basically the browser decides to highlight certain fields it thinks is more important, based on the value and name attributes.
You can't change this, however, as every browser has it's own settings and it depends on the user.

Do you have the Google toolbar installed? That's usually the culprit.

I think that Firefox colors an input text box (yellow?) when Firefox has 'remembered' the username/password for that page.

Tested it here in IE and FF for an input box and didn't have different colors. Might check your browser's default colors to be used for web sites: Content tab>Colors button.

Just a guess.
