I have a PSD file from a designer (I'm the front-end programmer) which I open in Fireworks v 4 (yes, I know, it's an old version). I export an area as a gif and when I then open up that sliced-out image, the color has changed slightly. This particular example is for several navigation tabs which are all 006692 in the original file. When I slice out each tab, they vary in color - some are 006692, some are slightly off, like 066692. I find it very odd that this is happening, and that they wouldn't ALL be the same since I am doing each one of them identically. I have played w/various setting in the Optimization menu, including "Exact" but nothing solves the problem.

Any solutions?

First check to see whether the original file is CMYK colour mode or RGB - you may need to convert it to RGB mode. A gif format does reduce the number of separate colours available, and this can cause issues if the graphic uses a large number of colours. Also make sure the colour depth is set to the maximum of 256 when saving in the gif format.
