Search for 'Joomla' in Google and Joomla's site comes up as the 1st hit.

The search result includes eight sublinks under the main index link for the site.

Extensions.....................Help
Online Demo...................Developers
What Is Joomla...............Details
Forum...........................FAQ

How does one design a site to get links like these to come up?
Has it anything to do with using a sitemap.xml?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi celshader,

It's an automated process.
Basically, they appear when your site has been on top for a long time for a specific request (usually your name or domain name, it's much harder to get for a competitive keyword)

Take a look at these 2 URLs, they will provide you with more info:

Yep - it's both out of a site owners control (can't request it and can't implement a unique SEO strategy to guarantee it will happen) and also when it does, it comes after a lot of work - especially, as gbonnet says, when it comes to competitive keywords.

Like my mesothelioma law firm clients. Fifty hours a month for three months just to get them ranked #1 for one phrase, and fifty plus hours every month ever since then (over a year ago). They're now ranked page1 for a host of phrases, but only a couple have the site links - like here.
