hi,

i have backup my database , i have formated my hdd and reinstalled window,now i want to restore my backed up database again, i dont know how to restore my old database. i have tried from restore, import manager but failed,

can anyone plz help me.

i import but it says not valid sql database, plz tell me method.

sounds more like your export/backup was bad.

how did u backup the database? with a backup command? or do u just have the .mdf and .ldf files? Also, what is the method u are taking to restore it? and where is the file(s) located? what do u mean by import? please post the exact steps you are taking and the exacgt error message
