does anybody know how Access compares to Powerpoint ?

why use Access instead of Powerpoint ?

my client sent me a presentation of a website in Access, and it's semi-functional and clickable,

Sorry... but my question is, why would you use Access, a database management system or PowerPoint a slide presentation program to preview a Web site?
My suggestion, use your Web browser to display the Web site. The site does not need to exist on the Internet for your browser to display it. The entire site can exist on a local machine or even on a CD. This will give you all the interactivity provided by Web browsers and the display would be much more life-like (can I say that about a Web site?????).

i think my client just wants to show me other websites, as examples of what he wants too,

OK, so what he will present to you is a series of thumbnail images (maybe jpgs) of different Web pages. Then a little comment off to the side saying something like "I like these nav buttons but not the color". Something like that? Or is it a page embedded with links and the link (or image) is active and clickable, taking you (in a Web browser) to the actual site.
Seems like Powerpoint is more suited to that type of a slide presentation. But then again, if it's his show, maybe it's best to work with what he's comfortable with.
Best wishes,

thanks EFV,

some of the links do actually work, and they take you to other access pages, strange website presentation,

but as i said, it's somebody else's website, just being used as an example of how she wants her website to look,

It was done in Access because the person doing it was not a professional and Access was the only thing they knew. Another person might do it in Powerpoint or Word.
