They don't bother me a bit now that I've disabled JavaScript. And they're a geat reminder to turn it back off if I've left it on for some reason.

they are cool to use just once or to play with. however, as ShrineDesigns said, they are 'annoying and obstructive'. also, mouse trailing don't provide functionality to the design or content resulting in a distraction to the visitor. in that sense i don't like them and i would not use them.

They seem to be popular with some people so I created a few but the only place I use them is on the demo pages for the script.

One that is almost useful is an analog clock following the mouse around the screen while a particularly annoying one has a spring bouncing around the screen behind the mouse.
