HELP lost local file view

I'm new to DW and have been using for one site. I normally open DW and it comes up on local files view. so on the right it gave me option to go to remote or local files etc. Today hostgator changed everyones pw. so when I went into DW it came up and said I needed to update or mange site etc. and when I hit manage site it came up with window with a basic tab and a advanced tab. But when I tried to re enter the new pw I did something and now it comes up on right as ftp.mysite.com and says mange sites next to it and the drop down window for local and remote is gone. and when I try to manage sites and edit and open that window it comes up ftp window and the one with basic and advanced tab is gone.
HOW DO I make it work like before?
How do I set it back up to local and remote?
please help lost, and help file doesnt explain it.
