Hi,

I have a newbie question. I'd like to create a simple web page that makes most of the page fuzzy or unclear, leaving a circle of clear focus that I can move around, like a magnifying glass but for clarity not magnification.

What is the simplest way to do this? I have programming experience, just not on the web.

Thanks in advance

While "magnifying glass" isn't what you wanted, Googling "Magnifying glass effect in CSS" yeilds some results, like this:

http://flashmymind.com/index.php?view=article&catid=13%3Amagnifying-glass-effect&id=13%3Amagnifying-glass-effect&option=com_content&Itemid=13

At this URL, move your cursor over & around that 'fuzzy' document... this is what you mean?

I think it's ActionScript tutorial. I know that I have seen something like this, in CSS, that 'focuses' a 'round window' (okay, let's call it a 'magnifying glass') that you can 'move around'. I seem to think it was from a site or series of sites called "codebrain(dot)com" but I am probably mistaken (and it's late... I'm not checking for it..:o )

Well there's no CSS in that one. It's a Flash applet.
