Hi everyone..

Could someone please giv me some idea how to make an e-commerce website?

What I mean is whether it is something we can do or need some outsources to do that?

Also just explain me the basic requirements to make an e-commerce website?

I am using PHP and mysql.

Any help or Suggestions are greatly Appreciated...

Basically you need to decide if you are going to create your own shopping cart, or use a third party, then pass the contents (price) to a Payment Gateway.

Once you know how to build an e-commerce site, you can implement the technique in your existing site. You do not need to re-invent the wheel :)

I would concentrate on the website first, as it is very easy to add a 'add to basket' button to your product pages.

have a look at Romancart.com (very easy).

I dont hav much idea about e-commerce. I know that it deals with online sales, buying etc. But coming to programming side can u tel me what xactly the requirements are??
As u told pass the contents to Payment Gateway..What this mean??
