All of that was done with Macromedia Flash (http://www.macromedia.com/flash).

Yes, just like pyro said, it's Micromedia Flash (click on the Flash word in pyro's message...)

What I ment was: Is there a name for the animation within that software that I am trying to Effect.
Also can you accomplish this with the trial version?

Yes, the trial is a fully functional, 30 day trial. What you are going to want to do is play around with the transparecy (alpha) of the symbol. It shouldn't be all that hard, really, except for that fact that flash has a fairly steep learning curve, so even simple things seem difficult at first.

AH-HAH!!!! So I am not the only one who has trouble learning Flash.

I am struggling to make simple buttons and it seems like an arduous task...and here all this time I thought I was a hopeless basket case! :D
