I've been wondering about html encoded emails. How it works and etc. Well I've been looking for any Guidelines and specified rules-of-code on this topics - and found nothing.

Im working on a Mass mail to customers. This should be a HTML document with pictures, a form etc. Basicly Good looking. Maybe anyone of you guys know anything about it ..

- Can I send whatever HTML-file as a email. (=the email are a HTML dokument and loks like a homepage)??

- Am I allowed to use CSS and basic stylesheets?

- Can I use forms, formes linked to www-url ASP action?

Well, I've understood that the most it works fine but I kind of need some feedback on it ..to be truly sure.

- What are the compabilties to other mailservices such as yahoo, hotmail ..and basic Windows and Os X mail programs?

- And finaly ..what is the easiet way to send it .. Im talking about a mass-mail to Company customers. Through ASP works, and I think Outlook works adn etc. ..but, Anyone know a faster way to distribute this Mass HTML encoded mail?? Interested to get this as fast and safe as possible.

Thanks alot, I will be very happy for answer of any kind. Tips, straight facts ...

I highly recommend e-Campaign from lmhsoft. http://www.lmhsoft.com

Headache-free, you can send HTML and text-based mail to a large number of recepients, it's clean, allows css, and automatically sends text-only to AOL and HTML to others. Has scheduling options, duplicate-removal option. I tested it many times and I like it the most. You can drag-and-drop existing html files right into the editor, or create messages in a wysiwyg option (works beautifully if you need to hand the project off to the client who doesn't know HTML).

Make sure that you do not send unsolisited mail, though..... LOTS of trouble and issues. Double, triple opt-in. You'll just have to keep an eye on removal requests, since it doesn't recognize aliases and forwarded addresses (obviously), keep a disclamer on the site and an address to contact if their removal request didn't get processed, etc. Get a trial version, play with it, see, if you like it.
