I'm trying to brainstorm and think of ideas for content that could be put on a website that is anti a certain topic.
What sections do you think should go on this type of site?
For example anti a certain company, anti a product, anti a practice.
I'm thinking: Reasons you are against this, a forum for others to discuss, links to resources.... any ideas?

Anti a book, film, interlang (like Esperanto), the list is endless.

i think that he's asking not for the topic, but the content (the main links and pages) he could create.
I don't know...
why they suck
why I hate them
forum
links
contact
it really depends on the topic - try to think outside the box
it's hard to say when we have no idea what the topic/company is...

MSIE. Plain and simple. [example (http://toastytech.com/evil/index.html)]
This too may be useful. [link (http://toastytech.com/evil/reasons.html)]
Not sure what you're targeting but be careful. Many people have been sued (and lost) for libel for that kind of thing.

When you are writing the sections, don't be subjective. Stick to the facts and there is no risk of that sort of thing.

I read this thread a few days ago and was wondering why anyone would want to 'anti-'anything... but do recall a site called "oddtodd.com" that was of great anti-something amusement years ago when I was still taking classes.

The question is: can your site actually attract people whose minds you might be able to change? Many "anti" sites are kind of like Fox News: only those who already agree with your opinion tend to partake of it, so you're mostly "preaching to the choir." Unlike Fox News, however, you'll also attract some people from the opposite viewpoint who mainly just want to tell you how stupid everyone is who agrees with you.
To be of any use other than just a means for you to vent, you need to figure out a way to get undecided people to visit your site, and then hopefully provide them with convincing arguments to get them to share your viewpoint. Otherwise, what's the point?

I'm a conservative Christian. When people asked to do something on my website that I honestly believed was morally wrong, I would say no, and most of the time, I would get a lot of persecution because of how I believe:rolleyes:
What I'm getting at is be careful if you open an anti-something site. You may get spammed a lot more than you would like.

I'd like to see more anti these (http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/3741/) types of sites! Do people still make their sites only IE4 accessible? :p It's probably abandoned, I clicked on the "any other browser" link and it crashed my Firefox.
Also, this one (www.geocities.com/ponipoetry), I tried it in Firefox, IE, Opera, and even Netscape and couldn't get it to load correctly, for some reason the message kept telling me to download a "standard compliant browser". Other than that, the content is good, but it's lacking aesthetics!
Umm, back on topic, here is a collection of anti- something or other sites that you can check out to see what types of sections are generally included in an anti-type site. Of course, you can always give us the topic in order to solicit better suggestions ;).

The question is: can your site actually attract people whose minds you might be able to change?... I have been thinking about this subject and your profound inquery for a day and about the only thing that springs to mind, is "anti-TABLE-based layout versus the superior semantic layout with DIVs and styled with CSS". Now THERE is something "anti-" that I could & would support! :D
edit: oh poo! stacywacy's first suggestion trumps mine. :)

Now I wouldn't use tables for the entire layout (divs serve for that much better), but a little bit of table doesn't hurt;)

GET THE TABLES!!!! :D
But theriouthly, folkth...
Perhaps the silliest anti-something website I've ever seen was www.ihatekerry.com . The text on that site ran, and I quote it in its entirety: "I hate you!"
