Slice problem

Hi everyone.
I have a problem with some of my newly design sites which i use Macromedia Fireworks Slice for. These are the site, i will love if you can check it so as to see what am talking about ( www.icl-ng.org and www.biolekfarm.com ). The problem is that when the page is loading it do display a large number of items to be loading, sometime 60 items and above. Which i believe come to play through the Slice i use to optimize the site.

May i ask! isn't there any way cto combine all of this to one and moreover other sites i do see doesn't have something like this, am i doing it the wrong way?

How do you end up with so many slices? Did you buy a template that was pre-sliced for you?

Generally, you should have a slice for each element on your page (sometimes more for larger images like your page banner).

If you move the borders of your slices so that there is only one slice per element (such as your page banner and navigation buttons) and delete any extra slices that you don't need as a spacer image, you should be able to just place them into dreamweaver leaving empty tables, cells or div tags for your page content.

Does that make sense?
