Conduit toolbar?

I am trying to get some feedback on using a Conduit toolbar. I work for a company with a ecommerce website, and am interested in the idea of allowing our users to search our website without being on our website. I wrote a search engine plugin for IE and Firefox in the past but this seems to go beyond that. Now I for one WILL NOT install a toolbar unless it really, really serves a valuable purpose. Most of our users are not going to be as tech savy as I am but regardless, it is not easy to get people to install toolbars. Anyway for the few that would, I think that they could benefit from it.

So that being said, does anyone have any experience with using a Conduit toolbar to help promote a site or any experience at all with being the end user of a Conduit toolbar? I am concerned about any reports of issues or anything like that.
