Khalid Ali 10-03-2003, 10:52 AM 1. this part is rather confusing, becuase if there is a website that does this, how do they get information at the first place that you might have gotten an eamil, for this purpose they will need to access your inbox for any given account. The more plausible solution that might be is that an email provider may be able to do this, since they already have access to your inbox. 2.I know you can develop a program that takes a phone call on your pc and forwards the caller ID data to an email account, you are asking completely opposite of that. I am sure its ver much possible, you will have to dig deep in Java or any other language to get this done. web101 10-03-2003, 06:06 PM 1> What I simply wanted was this: Instead of me polling on my computer every now and then to check for new mail, I wanted some free software that could give me notification of new email on my land line or cell phone.(And also didnt want to pay for Cell phone Web services.) Just found out that an email could reach my cell phone as a text message. So the receiving part of the problem is solved. If the To address is addressed to my cellphonenumber@xyz.com, I'd get it there instantly. I was hoping that there would be an auto-email forwarding feature from my email provider- yahoo! ITs there, but it is not free. Is there any free software or is it possible to code this- Auto forwarding new email messages to another email id? Thanks for your help. Compguy Pete 10-05-2003, 12:21 PM Why can no one pay for a dog gone thing!!! Fork out the couple of bucks a month for the service if you want to use it. WHats the worst that would happen you stop the service after a month because it wasn't what you thought it was. webdeveloper.com
