PeOfEo 10-05-2003, 07:40 PM Nope, I use some of my own scripts and xtreme tracking. AdamBrill 10-05-2003, 08:01 PM I don't know about usertracer, but http://www.thecounter.com/ is pretty nice... PeOfEo 10-05-2003, 09:09 PM thetracer says real time tracking I am thinking that means it has like a this many users are on script or something, I have my own script doing that. Nm no they dont have anything like that. Don't pay for a tracking service like this lol, go to www.extreme-dm.com or www.thecounter.com tweak911 10-06-2003, 04:07 PM Hi PeOfEo thanks for your reply! www.thecounter.com is not free either and doesnt't look half as good. extreme dm seems a bit better but still does not quite show what I want - geographic location and the browsing history! Any other suggestions before I register with www.usertracer.com ? PeOfEo 10-06-2003, 05:12 PM Why do you want the exact location so much? For most of them it only shows usa and you can get that anywhere else. You could try www.bravenet.com but they suck, they have a big ugly counter plate with the numbers. I would pick extreme because it is free and it does a good job. Also on user tracer I dont see anything about having java script enabled etc even when I click on the links for the host names. It just gives the os and browser basically. tweak911 10-06-2003, 05:21 PM most of them seem to be pinpointed down to actual city... i have ordered it now since I couldnt find anything alike for free.. will let you guys know if it was worth it once my account is activated lol. pyro 10-06-2003, 08:29 PM Originally posted by tweak911 most of them seem to be pinpointed down to actual city...Not exactly accurate, though. It said I was from Freeport, USA. I don't even know where Freeport is... tweak911 10-07-2003, 05:54 PM ARGHHHHH They started a promotion like a day after I opened an account... ANNOYING. catchup 11-03-2003, 03:31 PM Is there a way to get geographic loaction from the IP address using ASP, or thru dynamic population from a third party directory? PeOfEo 11-03-2003, 05:08 PM come again? You can use the server varaible for the host name to figure out where an ip is but if the user is running thru a proxie or something it might just tell you where the proxie is instead. It probably will not be that accurate, I do not know of any way to do it that would be very accurate :( Code One 11-04-2003, 12:33 AM Capsa, it captures TCP/IP packets, and with the info, you can get their user name and password, then once you have there user name and password you can log into their account and view their account info. LMFAO!!! Code One Disclamer: This info is for educational purposes ONLY! I'm totally not responsible for you going to jail if your dumb enough to try. :D AdamBrill 11-04-2003, 08:40 AM Originally posted by Code One Capsa, it captures TCP/IP packets, and with the info, you can get their user name and password, then once you have there user name and password you can log into their account and view their account info. How exactly do you think this is going to help to get their geographic location from a IP address??Capsa is an advanced but easy-to-use TCP/IP Network Monitor & Analyzer program which works on all Windows operating systems. With Capsa, you can capture IP packets over local network and your local host.Chances are, if you are on their local network, you know where they live anyway, so you don't need to get their geographical location. I think they were talking about INTERNET users here, not INTRANET users. Also, I would probably be cautious about posting anything about telling people how to hack. It's really not a good idea. Code One 11-04-2003, 05:07 PM with all due respect. you can switch your port to a monitor port, and capture all packets, plus I never told anyone how to hack. Any moron with an 1q of 80 could of assumed that themselves, by using the program. Duh...plus hacking is far more complicated than just using capsa, which I left out totally. I wouldnt recommend anyone trying it, the FBI, is going crazy over spoofers and such and are getting to the point were they have had enough. I would highly advise against any kind of hacking even on your self. Thus, Capsa gives you the info, you just need to be smart enough to know how to use it, nuff said. Code One catchup 02-29-2004, 02:59 AM I found that if you use the whois db and put city name companies ips into the db so now it compares captured ip ranges, all which have been converted into a Long Integer and this seems to working great to caper and display local and non locaal target audience, all simular cause not perfect, but believe more accurate, I found browserhawk.com can pine port it every time to city & town , any news about browserhawk ? If it is a secure login system, https, and uses md5 or another form of encryption for accounts and passwords you could be sol. webdeveloper.com
