hi
i'm interested in starting a social networking site and really might not have an idea what i'm talking about...but here it goes! I'm going to need to use a script as i'm not in the financial position to hire someone to develop the site for me
I've been thinking about using phpfox www.phpfox.com . From what I can understand, it is possible to customize the site, but can i use dreamweaver to do this? on the phpfox website, there are some examples of websites that were created using the software and some of them look ok and some not so good and very generic looking. in a nutshell, I'd like my site to have a more professional, cool look and just wondering if dreamweaver would help.
Also, phpfox seems to offer their own hosting service (although this is off of the dreamweaver topic). As I am a novice, would any of you more in-the-know people suggest that I use that since i'm problably going to use their software? Or would it be just as easy (or difficult in my case) to use another hosting service?
I have adobe creative suite cs3 and have been playing around with it for a month now and seem to be picking things up pretty quickly...but i know i'm just at the tip of the iceberg.
If anyone out there could help me with these question or offer any other pointers...i would be greatly appreciative!!! Thanks in advance!
