Trying to receive file from server, but can't

I mistakenly saved over a template i made in dreamweaver, and the only correct version is the one on my site right now. i used FlashFXP to try and overwrite the file, but when i open it up, it remains the same file I was initially trying to oveewrite and correct.

Can you not overwrite files from the server back to your computer, or am i doing something wrong?

Assuming you're using DW to FTP, connect to your remote server, find the file and then click the green down arrow button to retrieve the file. Presuming you haven't already overwritten the remote copy with the local copy.
