Though in Firebird's case, I guess an exception can be made... Definitely the second best way to browse the web (the best being a direct telnet to port 80, of course :D). Adam pyro 10-07-2003, 12:18 PM From what I've seen of Firebird, it is layed out a bit more like IE (as far as menus, etc...) Hopefully people will flock to it in droves... :) Robert Wellock 10-07-2003, 01:37 PM Mozilla Pheonix/Firebird has been out for eons it's just the Mozilla Gecko Engine reworked with a XUL interface and slightly enhanced for a smaller footprint - cutting out unnecessary bloat of the Mozilla Development Suite. Though it is by far the most compliant browser available though Opera 7.20 now understands JavaScript and XHTML served as "application/xhtml+xml". As for M$ Explorer well, it's trying to reinvent itself as an OS enhancement. Don't knock telnet I program Cisco Routers using the Cisco IOS commands via telnet. Compguy Pete 10-07-2003, 02:44 PM Good point Adam... However here is the reasons why this is not spam. 1. I said so :D 2. still not convinced refer back to #1 No really... I have no relationship or vested interest in this product nor will I make a buck off your trying it out. Other than that Robert seems to be the only one to has known of this before so my link helps out the community. Vladdy 10-07-2003, 03:33 PM While I'm all for promoting Mozilla, may I state that a "Web developer who never heard of Mozilla/Firebird" is an oxymoron :D :D :D webdeveloper.com
