Hello all... I am looking to set up a bulletin board system for a website I am developing. I am familiar with PhpBB and drupal. PhpBB is good, but I didn't really like the userCP... so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with other frameworks that they can recomend.
Thanks!
A simple search will show you just how many you can get hold of and they are many...
As for which is best, it is a matter of personal taste, what each vendor offers in the actual bundle and what you can do and how flexible the boards are in items like skinning and editing.

I've done a search and I know what's out there. What I'm asking for is anyone else's opinion that has used one of these other packages, thanks!

I have used MyBB and thought it was pretty good.

I like and use PunBB (http://punbb.informer.com/).

vBulletin is known as one of the best, one of the more obvious reasons being that you'll have to pay for it ;)

www.opensourcecms.com currently has 22 different forum packages you can "test drive" on their site.

Thanks guys, but I'm not looking for just a list of BB frameworks. I guess I should have been more specific... what do you like about the BB frameworks you guys currently use?

IMHO vBulletin has the most extensible system, with a HUGE fanbase, which usually means whatever you're thinking off adding has probably already been written, and only needs tweaking.
And no, I don't get a commission ;)
