I'm doing a project in school, and all they have are iMacs. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do a print screen on an iMac. I could do it at home and upload the file, but I wanted to show up as it would on the mac. If there is a way to do it on another type of mac, could someone get a screen capture of a Google search for php? Preferably with OS X. Thanks!

Hi,
If i'm understanding you correctly then to get a snap shot of what's on your screen then do the following.

Press these 3 keys at the same time,
Command key (the one with the Apple on it), Shift key and the 3 key.

The image should then save to your Desktop automatically.

Hope this has helped you.

OSX also has a built in utility called Grab that let's you get screen shots, set timers, for the shots, select areas, etc.

I think when you save it with the keyboard shortcut above it is saved as a PDF. With the Grab utility it is saved in graphic format which can then be manipulated.

Just depends on which you need!
