Hello..........

My web site is a cake decorating and candy making eciommerce site.

I have been approached by someone who wants to place a text link & short description of their web site on my home page.

They will pay for the space. My dilemma is I don't have a clue as to what a fair, competitive price is. I get around 2000 hits a day.

If anyone could give me a little guidance on this I would really appreciate it!

Thanks

Clock the click thru's and then charge based on that. You can track the click thrus with a server side language or you can get some site tracking like a normal hit counter and put it on that page. Does your server support any server side languages? If it supports asp.net Ill whip you up some very simple scripts that can do this for you and Ill give you an access data base to store the data.

That's one way, yes, but ads are also bought/sold per impression...

Well I have this application that sets image impression

But if you want to track the hits to the ad, you need to put an iframe in place of the image with a document inside of it and track it similar to how you would the click throughs. But this is asp.net so It needs to be on a machine that supports it.
