Hi I am doing a search and replace query but I need to add a carriage return before and after the string-to-change before parsing.

What function would I use for this to work properly?

Thank you.

chr(13) or vbCrlF would insert that character into your string.

Hey thanks for responding.

I tried this: Thetext= VbCrLf & Thetext & VbCrLf

.. and actually also this too: Thetext= "<br>" & Thetext & "<br>"

I put those before all of the replace commands and it didn't seem to work right..

What exactly are you adding them there for? Maybe there is a better way to understand what you are doing :)

Hey, thanks. The search and replace basically needs them to make the proper adjustments to the outputted text.
