question generator and scorecard

I need to produce 10 random multiple choice questions from a set of say 20.
Each time a question is asked and answered I need to keep a score so that after the 10th question I can display the users total score..

Can anyone give me any pointers or any places, books etc i can look up for help.
Or even supply some help themselves???

Ok, here is one I've wrote, it may has some little bugs but works not bad, tested only in IE ;-)
