hey
i know how to do a pop up upon exit but my problem is i wanna actaully figure what website the user is going to..so i only wanna have the pop up to come up if they're leaving my site not when they're surfing around within my site. so i guess id need to be able to read thier url.
anyone has any tip to give me?

<!-- This goes in your body tag -->
<body onUnload="window.open('goodbye.htm', 'newWindow', 'scrollbars=0,resizable=0,height=120,width=170')">

This would likely work. Try it and let me know what you think.

i guess basically im looking for a way to determin what they have typed in thier url
please advice if you know how thanks

I see what you mean. You could make the page in frames. Then when they leave the main frame, the window will come up.
