i need to develop a website to sell online videos.
i want people to be able to view the videos only after

receiving payment and only for a certain period of time. also i

do not want the videos to be downloadable. i was also thinking

of using paypal for payment method

i'm not sure how to start, what CMS, shopping cart should i

use, i was told Joomla, i'm not familiar with joomla.


i need some help and answers please....

not sure about Joomla or any CMS for that matter... do you have any php development experience?

PayPal is sufficient, they have a feature that will tell your website that a certain user has paid if set up properly. Honestly the hard part wouldnt be setting up the dynamic end of the website, the hard part would be securing the videos since there are programs that rip and download flash files from websites, you will have to look into some sort of secure flv player.

Also, it gets a bit more complicated if you want the website to take a video you upload and automatically know what to do with it and format, compress, resize and put it up for sale. There are too many variables to go over at this early stage and quite honestly im not sure there is a cms out there that will fully fit your needs.
