So I'm moving and rather than loose me my company has agreed to let me work remotely on contract. This will be my first time doing this on a full time basis. I wanted to see if anyone has advice they think would be helpful. Currently the biggest concern for me is the lifestyle change of not going into an office every day. I'll need to make it a personal effort to get myself out of the house regularly so I don't become a hermit.

OH my thats pretty good... as I work from home and feel like a shut-in.
You married? Got kids? if not get some... it'll help a bit. I highly recommend the book four hour work week if your in the states it's going to run you something like 20 bucks but it's a good manual on how to work from home and how to take advantage of it.
One thing you need to do that's not in the book is figure out if you can work and live in the same space. or if you need to create a space in your home if you don't have one already for work. Your laptop in the living room Lazyboy won't work for long.
the second thing you need to do is keep good office hours... this helps a lot of people however if your working for yourself keep flexible enjoy it and have fun!
