I am getting loads of annoying spam, which I believe is coming from a site where the link for webmaster is directed to my mailbox.
Has anybody got any ideas how to block this email address from spammers trawling the web, so that only genuine people can get through?
You could try:
you@your.com (though spam bots might be smart enough to decode that) or something like:
you at your dot com

It you are using hotmail msn or aol for your email address you will get loads of spam no matter what :D. Spam bots crank out spamvertisements all day to those providers.

Pyro's solution is good to apply to prevent any further spam, but to deal with what you have now, you can use MailWasher (http://www.mailwasher.net/), assuming you have a POP3 account. MailWasher checks the mail on the server and allows you to delete/bounce spam and viral emails.

If you have outlook you can just block all mail from the server that is sending it.

Encoding the e-mail address does reduce Spam bots and I haven't had one this year visit...
Though I do have bounce features and other advanced facilities if I require them and yes M$ Hotmail will spam you because it uses advert cookies, whenever you logon, etc.
