We currently have a bunch of banners on external sites (static images) that call a js function when clicked which in turn uses jquery to create a lightbox effect and show a modal dialog on the screen.

We're in the process of migrating some of the banners from images to flash and i was wondering whether its possible to achieve the same effect using flash? i've heard talks about including the js in the flash movie itself but really since the flash is embedded in a html file in the first place and the js is constantly changing thats not very practical.

Also, I know nothing about flash... i do all the php/js stuff and our flash person doesnt know how to call external js functions so basically we need some help bridging the gap!

Thanks!

No problem. Just take a guess and, if it's wrong, one of the admins or mods can move it.
