Creating a property management site

Hi

I am comparitively new to Web design and specifically to CMS/ PMS. I have a few questions wrt the same. I wish to create a site something similar to makkan.com, 99acres.com etc. My doubts are

- is Joomla and its extension openrealty 2 good and dependable PMS to begin with for this & create my own e-commerce property sale/ rental portal
- are there any other available resources - free (of course) - which i can use for the similar purpose
- any other suggestions are welcome
- for hosting is sitebuilder.com a good option - i'm not based in US; or shall i give preference to some hosting service from my nation

For my knowledge..I think oscommerce online merchant tool is a best one for e-commerce websites...

is there anything else- what i m looking at is not an online shop but more like a listing service from which searches can be made. Can it be done with some more simplified pieces - if available ?
