Hi there,

I've put together a site and have just learnt some very basic flash to do the banner on the test site:

http://www.mnetuk.org/lbacreative/

Just did a shape tween on the gradient layer and a motion tween on the text on a layer on top.

I've been asked if it's possible to put a kind of motion trail effect on for the text. I've no doubt it's possible, but can't find much on the internet.

Can anyone advise as to how easy / hard this would be, how I'd go about it etc?!

Any help appreciated.

By motion trail you mean a semi-transparent copy of the text thats a little behind the main opaque copy and moves at the same rate?

If so, to do that is decently easy. Just clone your text object, put it on a layer under your 'leading' text, set the transparency to something less than 100%, and apply the same tween to it. Make sure to put a keyframe in at the end though, to set the text transparency to 0 so you don't see it when your leading text has stopped.
