OK, I haven't seen this subject in these forums, and maybe nobody here has any experience with it, but just in case...

I'm going to be meeting for the first time with a new client who wants me to do an emailing to their existing client base.

There are plenty of software programs out there that will handle the job, so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, I can handle putting together the piece's content.

My question is this; This is my first time attempting to do this, and I have no clue what the going rate is. What/how do I charge for the mailing? Per piece? Per confirmed delivery? I'm not looking to retire off the first job, but I don't want to give away the farm, either. Any (constructive) suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Actually, there are bulk email services out there - do the search on Google - see what they charge, you'll get the idea.
If you need recommendation for software, I had a very good experience with e-Campaign (http://lmhsoft.com/)

Hi Daria,

Thanks for the input. e-Campaign is actually one of the products I am considering.

I'll try Google again. I've tried to get this info in the past, but nobody is very anxious to name their price, as I recall.

Thanks again.
