the internet is dumb - we all know that because we work here. we have to deal with spammers, crackers, v!4GRa 4 fReeZ!, and assorted philanthropic nigerian bankers. i want to see just how stupid it is.

i currently have 3764 spam messages in the junk mail folder of just one of my many email accounts. this inspired me, and i have created an account, webdevspambox@gmail.com, which i would like to receive AS MUCH SPAM AS POSSIBLE. that's right, i want you to help me out in signing up this email account for all of the surveys, free XBOXes and mailing lists as you can. starting this saturday at 12am CDT i will make occasional updates here as to how many spam messages there are. i will stop the count at 12am CST november 2 and we'll see how much spam we can accumulate.

please help prove how terrible the internet really is by signing up webdevspambox@gmail.com to everything you possibly can.

If you purposely ask for spam, and then you get it, aren't you proving how good the internet is, rather than how bad? Ie, it got you exactly what you asked for, right? Seems that you're testing the exact inverse of what your hypothesis is. :)

If you had cholera, you'd have plenty of time to sit at home and read all your SPAM!

True, provided you have a laptop. I'm pretty sure you'd be bedridden ;)

There is already too much traffic going through the internet, spam being a decent portion. This is aggravating the situation, and google. Fear its wrath.

I did a bit of a look into this, and apparantly more spam is gained from asking not to recive more spam than anything else, so maybe you should start sending messages back :P

Maybe rhsunderground just wants some good links to free "brand name medications" and contacts to some nice "farm girls".
