Hi -- I work at a multi channel web retail company whose site is built in .ASP.net. Is this in any way sort of outdated? If you were to re-design a large web site or build one today, what technology or apps would you use?
Thanks.

I'd probably use ASP.Net.... Or to make it easier on myself some type of CMS like Joomla, or DotNetNuke which is what I prefer as I can do ASP.Net development off it and feel relatively comfortable with it. Not too familiar with Joomla.

Thanks Ddraig.
That's interesting that you would stay with ASP.NET. We do have some database issues - maybe that is the main problem. Have you ever heard of server side includes that - the customer can change the URL and title of the item that is called in? If I go to my site, I am able to do just that. Say the URL is www.site.com/product Happy Exclamation !.htm (which is the way the gal names things here, w/spaces, punctuation which drives me nuts, but works I guess..) -- I can change it in the address bar as www.site.com/productUNHAPPY product and the TITLE of the product (on the page) or the category page will then change to
"productUNHAPPY product" -- you can name it anything -- is that common??
We use a system called "universe" or that's what they call it, it used to be xircon...
