PowerpointShow within a Webpage?

I was wondering if there is a "best way" (if there is a way) to embed a PPS to play within a webpage. What I mean is without losing the PPS file's animations (much like an Avi file can be embedded and played on a webpage).

I've already tried saving a PPT file as an HTML file but it just remained static and the animations didnt play at all. What I'm trying to do btw, is create a graph PPS and show it animatedly on a webpage.

Wouldn't you show it by using the <object> tag much like one does for a Flash file? I don't know what the exact code would be, but that's my guess.

I don't think you can use object tag to embed power point presentation in a webpage.However, you can create a presentation and publish it as a webpage(it translates your presentation into html+javascript pages).

Below are the typical instructions that you will find with Power point to publish your presentation as web page

1.Open or create the presentation or Web page you want to publish to the Web.

2. On the File menu, click Save as Web Page.

3. In the File name box, type a name for the Web page.

4. In the folder list, select a location for the Web page.
Learn about where to save on the Web.

5. To change the Web page title (the text that appears in the title bar of your Web browser), click Change Title, type the new title in the Page title box, and then click OK.

6. Click Publish.


7. Select the options you want.
For Help on an option, click the question mark and then click the option.

8. To select additional Web page formatting and display options, click Web Options, select the options you want, and then click OK.


9. Click Publish.

i could have sworn there was a way to do it.......i remember my friend has one on his site.....

my HTML book has all of the <object ???> tags for embedding any object in it....(i think)...it has a whole section on them lol....

...to be honest, I've sort of put this post on hold for the moment, but i think the object tag is the most promising, i mean if it works for flash..the pps file would load and start almost immediately (at least, in theory)...i have to get back to you on that till I try out everything else...

Hmmmm....what if there was a tutorial to actually convert a pps file into flash?? then that would probably "solve" everything...
