Yahoo Chat and Flash Player

Hi,

For some reason my Yahoo chat (through my Yahoo mail on Safari and Firefox) isn't recognizing my version 10 Flash player. It keeps telling me I must have version 9 and up. This just started happening today....

I talked to Yahoo help and they said it is a problem on their end but I know my computer has been acting up (had to fix some drive permissions earlier).....Has anyone ever had this problem?

I've seen some threads about it online....but no solution....

The only way I could resolve the problem was to revert to version 9 files of NPSWF32.dll and NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe by overwriting the v10 files of the same name that you will find in C:\WINDOWS\systen32\Macromed\Flash

I was lucky enough to still have the v9 files on my laptop.

Presumably Yahoo will sort it out sometime soon and we can all update to v10.

Phew, at least it's not only me. I tried installing version 9 but I'm on an Intel-Based MAC and I couldn't find a version that worked so I'm stuck on 10 with no more Yahoo Chat (at least through my email). : (
