KIDDING. That's what I want someday, though I really don't hold out much hope for it anymore. I'm more and more starting to realize that 99.999% of the mankind drives me insane. And probably even more of womankind.

Let me ask a question though, and I hope this doesn't come off as critical at all on your happy day. You say she had "no idea it was coming" do you just mean no idea it was coming that specific day, or like... absolutely no idea whatsoever in general. I guess I never quite understand when people are shocked at being proposed to, I'd assume many things in a relationship would point towards it heading in that direction, and that it would be talked about here and there. Not that I know much about relationships.

Then again the only real experience I have with this is my sister and her husband, who met under the knowledge that they were both marriage minded and would not be dating if it WASN'T on the table eventually, and they talked about it all the time, such that his proposal was something along the lines of "so we're definitely getting married right? When are we going to do this?"

for the last few months it has become quite clear that we were going to get married at some point; she did not expect it to happen this soon.
