swapping link and image on click

Hey, I'm building a page where I would like to be able to click on an image and upon the click have it be replaced by another image and new link. Could anybody help me out here? I'm not sure if you would use Javascript or CSS, and I haven't done a lot with either, but I'm pretty sure it's do-able. Hey thanks again!

Would the new image/link take place after the mouse is moved out?

Ideally it would switch on clicking, so yes, before the mouse is removed. Hey, thanks again for any tips you might have
