What can I untick Start Up menu?

Hi

I would like to know if by unticking certain things on the start up menu would this cause problems?

Also what shouldn't I untick in the start up menu?

Its a bit hard to know without looking at your existing setup. Services you want to run typically on boot are your av and processes like ctfmon ...

If you download and run hijackthis, you can save a logfile to your desktop and copy the contents in to this thread. Then we can let you know what areas of the system need attention including startup.

Then, i would use ccleaner.com to clear off the temporary junk and then it has a startup section, where you can disable or delete entries, a bit better than msconfig and un-install programs that you cant do very well through the control panel.
