I am working on a personal design portfolio and wanted to display my work like this design studio does:

I was wondering how to create that upright, 3d effect for displaying pages... it looks really nice.

It's actually pretty simple if you have PhotoShop or something similar. Here is the quick and dirty version. Basically it goes like this, place an image of your Web page on a larger document, background color black or whatever the shiny surface is suppose to be. Distort that image to give it perspective, appearance of dimension, front edge large than back edge. Copy that image and flip it over, to give mirror image. Then apply a gradiant mask to make the image visible up next to the page and gradually disappearing as you move away. Play with the angles, depending on your perceived light source and vary the gradient until you get what you want.
