Hello is there a particular kind of positioning or method to let divs move around independantly of each other rather than sharing their positions. Thanks for any help

there's position: absolute

But it's important to note that this is really not recomended, it has a way of breaking your layout for different resolutions etc unless you know what you are doing(and even then minor little error can have nasty effects).

Ah yes I've heard of those position devices but I was always given different explanations for them and became confused.

I'd say only use %'s unless you know what you're doing, but given the size/shape of images you might have to make a few sacrafices on that front.

Oh, and always test on different browsers, fonts, resolutions/browser sizes etc, or you will break accessibility.
