Hey all. It is great to sign up for the first time on the Forum. I am excited to begin my journey to learn Web Development. I have had lots of experience with C+, ORACLE, MYSQL, VB, VBA, Java, some PHP.
I have been building my applications in VB Studio 6.0 and am now looking to convert some of them to Web-based applications. Most of them are your typical stand-alone VB coded GUI with a MS Access or SQL Express backend database.
I have Visual Studio .Net 2008
Should I develop my new websites with 2008 "ASP.NET Web Application" I see that PHP is still very popular. If I convert my VB to VB.NET is that easier for me to complete the web-based conversion?
Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated.
