I am planning on hiring professionals to develop 2 websites for my company. After they are completed, I need to be able to make certain changes to the sites. I don't want to change the basic layout, but I want to change/upload text, upload photos, place sponsor banners, etc.
My question is: which program can I use to make these changes? (I need a "what you see is what you get" software, I cannot code. I can use Dreamweaver, Frontpage and similar programs).
The other question: what program do the websites need to be initially developed in that will be competible with the software I will use to edit the sites later? Does that make any difference at all?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks
Andrea

You'll need to get them to make, or alter an existing, CMS (Content Management System). That way, you can change the content without having to code it yourself.

It's all integrated, from the very start they will use a CMS, what actual program they use to edit the code (from Notepad, Notepad++, to WYSIWYG editors like Frontpage or DreamWeaver) is irrelevent, just make sure they know that you want to be able to change the content yourself AFTER they're gone.

Yea declan1991 is right, if your programmers are good they must develop admin side where you will able to do all you need.
