What sound file formats play on all/most browsers?
I have several sound mp3 files I need to put on my Websites but mp3 doesn't play in some of the major browsers.
Also, any suggestions or preferences on converter programs?
Thanks.

Most browsers use some type of media player plugin to play the mp3 you hear on most Web sites. While Internet Explorer comes with Windows Media player, FireFox doesn't. However the most common plugin for cross-browser compatability is the Flash plugin. Estimates place it's use at over 95% of all browsers. So if your concern is cross browser compatabilty, place a Flash media player on your html page, code in with html or use a javascript script like swfobject. 95% of your audiance will already have the ability to listen to your mp3s.

Good luck on your project,
