Hello,

I am trying to create a 1 color business card (because 2 color is too expensive)...My problem is that I had to make a heavy stroke around a part of our logo so it would appear puffy (don't know how to describe it but it is attached).

So now that the card will only be 1 color I am not sure how I would recreate the puffy part. I tried to make a clipping mask from the cream stroke but it's not working.

Can anyone suggest what I can do?

Is there any way to make a compound path into a solid one so it becomes a basic shape like a circle?

Thanks,

Allie

I'm sure there is a better solution but what I ended up doing was making the stroke outline white. So that the shape shows through.....

I'm assuming white can show up as transparent for a printer?

I believe that this depends on the company. Most, I would think, use white for transparency but the last company I've worked with uses black. I'd probably check with them first.

Thanks...they say white is fine. Wow, I've never heard as black for transparency.

Yeah, it sounds strange, but I believe that CafePress uses black transparency for their shirt designs. I could be wrong though... I don't remember.
