i use PS and Imageready to design webpages for a site served by .mac (.me).

lately, my pages, after having been hit once, are interrupted by a safari dialog box saying "x.html is an application. Are you sure you want to download x.html?" if i click "download", i get the "html.download" on my desktop and it opens without images. if i click "cancel" it sits on the desktop and when i double click it, the dialog box again appears.

i can USUALLY solve the problem by clearing the cache. sometimes not.

is it PS, Imageready, safari, .me, pilot error?

i am concerned that other users on other computers are having the same problems with my pages.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

That sounds very unusual. It sounds like a server problem to me.

However, apple forum post (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6949113) seems to imply that it's a Safari problem. Have you been able to access the page from elsewhere?

i haven't tried, really. i have just the one computer and few sources to call on. i've had no complaints from visitors which is good, but i don't like to take chances. www.batmcgrath.com if you want to give it a go. thanks for the reply. i'll take a look at the disussions at apple.
